The European GRC technology group is strengthening its executive team to accelerate growth, product innovation and expansion across Europe. Iskera announces the appointment of Bertrand Rubio as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Bertrand Rubio joins Iskera after more than 16 years at EY Consulting, where he was a Partner in the Risk Consulting practice and led innovation. During his time there, he supported numerous organizations in transforming their risk, audit, compliance and internal control functions, with a particular focus on digital transformation and the contribution of new technologies such as artificial intelligence. He began his career at a start-up specializing in GRC technologies.
By joining Iskera, Bertrand Rubio brings deep expertise in risk management functions, extensive knowledge of the sector and its stakeholders, and a strong perspective on how the market is evolving and what organizations need from technology and AI.
Working alongside Thibaut de Laval, CEO of Iskera, Bertrand Rubio will lead the strengthening of the group's operations, including execution of the product and AI strategy, development of the group's value proposition, support for strategic clients, and business development in France and across Europe.
“In less than a year, Iskera has reached major milestones in establishing itself as a leading European GRC player. Bertrand's arrival will help us accelerate our development by delivering even greater value and relevance to our clients, while strengthening our operational capabilities to support this growth. His unique experience at the intersection of risk, consulting and technology is a real asset for our clients and for our project,” says Thibaut de Laval, CEO of Iskera.
“I am very pleased to join Iskera and a team pursuing a particularly ambitious project in the European market. We have an opportunity to rethink how technology helps organizations understand, anticipate and manage their risks, particularly through AI and Risk Intelligence. Our ambition is to combine innovation, product excellence and customer satisfaction to build a sovereign European technology company capable of expanding well beyond its historical markets. The quality and energy of the teams I am joining provide an excellent foundation for achieving this,” adds Bertrand Rubio.
This appointment comes less than a year after Iskera was created and marks a new stage in the group's development.
Already a leader in GRC technology in France and Switzerland and a major player in the European market, Iskera now intends to accelerate its growth across Europe and develop a new generation of GRC solutions combining business expertise, automation and risk intelligence.
Founded in September 2025, Iskera is a European GRC technology group. Its solutions cover internal audit, internal control, risk management, compliance, QHSE and several related areas of risk management.
The group has 130 employees and supports more than 400 clients, including half of the CAC 40 companies. Its solutions are hosted exclusively in Europe.
Backed by Verto, Iskera has one ambition: to provide European organizations with a sovereign and innovative alternative to non-European risk management and compliance solutions, built around a more integrated, intelligent and automated approach.
